FAQ

  • How many people will come to my house/farm/building?

This varies depending on the size of the job and what it entails. Many electrical jobs require more than 1 electrician to allow for efficiently pulling cables, lifting pumps, moving ovens etc.

Due to current Health and Safety regulations, some situations require 2 electricians.

  • Do I have to be present?

This is entirely up to you and what you are comfortable with. We are flexible and always try to accommodate a time that suits our customers. We normally like to meet and discuss the job with the client first however if this is not an option we can do this over the phone and arrange entry to the premise.

  • How long will it take?

This is a hard one and can be determined by so many different factors. Each job is unique, so for a more approximate time frame for your particular job it pays to ask our staff.

Electrical problems require finding a fault which isn’t always as straightforward as it sounds. Our knowledgeable team of problem solvers will get things done and back to normal as soon as possible.

RURAL ELECTRICIAN SERVICES

Dairy shed

Cows or goats? a rotary or herringbone? built in the 70s or yesterday? 10-a-side or 120 bale? and no matter the brand, we are here to help. Our vast experience as rural electricians means we’ve (usually) worked on the same system before. We’ve learnt how it works and how it needs to be maintained. We appreciate the right system, for the right shed, for the right farm.

Milk and water cooling

Milk cooling compliance is a ‘hot’ subject at the moment. We’ve worked with lots of companies across a range of solutions. The right solution for you, may not be the same as your neighbour. Power availability is another factor for milk and water cooling. So whether you need to drop a few degrees or have a bigger issue, give us a call to discuss your solution.

Irrigation

Irrigation systems are a big investment. They’re an appealing option with the variable summer conditions experienced in today’s climate. To get the best from your system, factors such as automation and compliance are vital. This will ensure your system operates correctly through the payback period and beyond.

Water pumps and filtration

Water is VITAL in any rural operation, and water quality in the dairy shed is a big issue. We’ve installed and maintained a lot of different filtration systems. We’ve heard all the ‘reviews’ first hand. Water system issues are often overlooked and unnoticed until they are an urgent problem. So give us a call to sort your water pump or filtration problems. We will fit a loan or replacement pump to keep your farm pumping.

Hint: Unless your water pump is running but not reaching a good pressure/flow rate, an electrician is your best bet. Particularly our team of rural electricians who have a good knowledge of pumps and the system as a whole.

Effluent Systems

Effluent systems are quickly becoming an important part of farm management. The right system and controls can save you time, money and compliance headaches. Getting onto issues quickly and having a rural electrician on hand to get things fixed is vital. We have the experience to make the difference. If you’re looking at a new effluent system, give us a call. We will work with you to see how we can can work in with your current wiring and electrical requirements. We can even talk you through how to save your time through automation.
